Fostering cooperation towards regional food system network

BelgiumThis is an approach which actors can use when they want to foster cooperation between farmers and other food system stakeholders in terms of moving towards a network of short supply chain actors within the framework of a local food strategy. This an actor-oriented approach towards bringing together local food stakeholders into cooperating in a local or regional short food supply chain within the context of a local food strategy. First a model presentation about the importance of cooperation is discussed, followed up by a workshop format for bringing together local farmers and traders. Two guiding principles are used: (1) how do you think cooperation can be fostered and (2) what do you think the city needs to do to support cooperation. A reflection and follow-up steps are provided
